Jul 02, 2013 · it may be mounting issue. although these dimms may look fully snapped in may not be. also make sure that if you are using 2 different mem kits that they are in matching dimms on the mobo, or it could be the cpu cooler is mounted to tight. Unless there is something we are missing. I have a PCI-e x1 sound card working just fine in a x16 long slot that is electrically only x4 and it chugs along dumb, fat and happy. I don't know why Asus insists on putting PCI-e x1 slots right up against the blue x16 slot when most video cards nowadays take up two slot spaces. Jun 19, 2020 · Used the second dimm on slot A1 and got the same problem. I used the first black slot (B1) instead and the system went on constant reboots. After 6 reboots I stopped. The other two slots A2 and B2 work fine. The system boots and shows 16 GB of RAM, but I don't have dual channel, so I'd like to fix the other two slots, or at least one of them..

After assembling everything together, it wouldn't POST and had an orange Q-LED lit up, indicating a problem with the RAM even though both RAM were inserted and had glowing RGB. And make sure when you attach the AIO again to screw down with one full turn on screw, then do the same to the screw in the opposite corner, then go to a different screw, and do the same, before going to the screw diagonal from that. This is called the X-method and will make sure every CPU pin is making contact.

On Ryzen 3600 they work in slots 1 and 2 (counting from the CPU), but inserting RAM into another slots like 2 and 4 (for dual channel operation) causes 3 long beeps - that is, a problem with RAM. The RAM is Ballistix Sport DDR4-2666 Slots 1 and 2 on my M/B work fine but if I try 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 then all I get is a blank screen. The fans etc are running but nothing is on the screen. I have changed the RAM and the CPU but just the same.
